A Glasgow mother who previously relied on Universal Credit to supplement her £800 monthly Tesco wages has revealed her first major purchase after winning £10,000 a month for a year on the National Lottery.

Olivia Love, 36, splashed out £750 at Victoria's Secret following her Set For Life draw win on May 16, describing it as her "Pretty Woman moment".

The mother-of-four had been struggling financially, earning just £800 monthly whilst paying £1,800 in childcare costs.

"I'm not used to having any money. I'm used to having literal pennies left in the bank," she told Metro.

Love immediately quit her supermarket job after discovering her life-changing win and is now pursuing her dream of becoming a wedding content creator.

The couple celebrated their windfall with a breakfast out after dropping their children at Kevin's parents' home, followed by a shopping trip.

While Love indulged in her Victoria's Secret spree, her husband's purchases were notably modest.

She said: "All he really wanted was a new pair of jeans and a new car. They weren't even expensive jeans, just jeans from Next."

The win has transformed Love's daily routine, with hired help now managing household tasks including cleaning, garden maintenance and laundry services.

She admitted: "I still feel a bit nauseous if I'm being honest about it especially when I think about how much money it is."

Having married Kevin last year, Love is now focused on launching her wedding content creation business with the financial security her lottery win provides.

Love has been documenting her experience on TikTok, where some videos have garnered over 200,000 views each.

She revealed that her social circle has remained deliberately small following a late miscarriage several years ago.

She explained: "When I was in the midst of grief I just stopped talking to everyone. When I came out of that shadow there was nobody left."

The winner noted that friends and family have been supportive without requesting money, adding: "It is just me, my husband and the kids and that is the way we like it."

Love, who was inspired to play after serving lottery customers at Tesco's kiosk, offered straightforward advice to potential players.

She said: "It is just a game of chance. You can win, you just have to be in it to win it."
