The store has launched an appeal to track down the culprits

A historic Norfolk toy shop has fallen victim to thieves who made off with more than £500 worth of Lego products.

The incident occurred at Starlings' Holt branch on High Street on Saturday, with the independent retailer releasing CCTV footage in an effort to track down the culprits.

The security camera images appear to show a man and woman working together to conceal merchandise, with the footage suggesting a large Lego set being stuffed beneath the woman's coat.

The family-run business, which has been serving customers since 1912, has turned to social media to appeal for public assistance in identifying the pair.

Starlings operates several stores across Norfolk, Suffolk and Lincolnshire, maintaining its position as an independent retailer for over a century.

The CCTV stills captured the incident as it unfolded on Saturday afternoon.

Company bosses shared the images on social media that evening, with their post stating: "If anyone knows these two delightful people, please get in touch.

"They helped themselves to over £500 worth of Lego products from our Holt store today."

Norfolk Police have been notified of the theft, according to the retailers.

Anyone with information about the incident or who recognises the individuals in the CCTV footage is being urged to contact the shop directly or report details to the police.

Reacting to the appeal, one social media user wrote under the post: "I hope you catch them. This is just so wrong!!"
