Marks & Spencer fans are in for a treat - and they already know it. Hitting the shelves for the summer season is a range of new desserts, and one has already got shoppers raving.

A twist on the traditional French patisserie, Double Filled Lemon Eclairs has made waves in the foodie community - although some remain a tad sceptical.

In each pack, there are two choux pastry éclairs filled with whipped cream and lemon curd, topped with lemon-flavoured fondant and white chocolate lacing.

Available in store now, there is a variety of different treats that Marks & Spencer has brought out for the summer, including lemon tiramisu pots.

Snack Reviews/Facebook

Sharing the good news, one commenter said that it “looks delicious” and that they “must get them”.

Another joked that they “put on two pounds just looking at these scrumptiously delicious desserts” as one user pointed out that “we all deserve a treat”.

While one said that they appeared a little too “sickly” for them, plenty of fans flocked to say how “amazing” and “delicious” they were.

But another shared their distaste for the citrus fruit altogether, saying: “I hate lemon. There needs to be regular versions. I’ve never bought an éclair that wasn’t barely filled at all.”

Meanwhile, one pointed out that they “didn’t look very pretty” while someone laughed and pointed out that “you’re supposed to eat it, not take it out on a date”.

Another advised that they should close their eyes when they eat the lemony dessert.

For those who would prefer to opt out of the creamy lemon dessert, the store also sells an original chocolate éclair filled with fresh cream.
